I am thrilled to invite everyone to the event dedicated to the astounding Baltic poetic documentaries of the 1960s and the 1970s. I’ve felt an urge to initiate and put this together because a selection of highly creative documentaries from all the three Baltic countries have never been screened in US. Moreover, I thought that it could also be a rare opportunity to approach these remarkable and yet not so known films as ethnographic works. This and much more will be touched upon in a post-screening discussion with great Riho Västrik, Sally Berger and Pacho Velez!
Please join us on the 17th of October! The event is organized by the Cinema Studies at NYU in collaboration with New York Baltic Film Festival. And it is free to public! (Special thanks to Meno Avilys!)
